I need to extract some vital information from a hard disk that has just fried. Can someone please suggest a software that would help me out?

Whatever program you use, there should be instructions on the site from which you download it. Most of them are pretty easy to use.

Sometimes it worries me too, but most of the software in use today is really easy to learn. Everything is a lot simpler than it was when I got my first computer in the 1990s.

Download the application. Run it. And then it shows options where you have to choose the drive which requires recovery of data.

Recuva is a breeze. With this software, you only need to select they type of file you want to recover and show where it's likely to be in your computer. Recuva does all the rest for you.
