What are some old games that hold up to modern standards?

Postby falselight » 25 Feb 2017, 11:43

So my laptop recently broke down and I had to resort to using an old one. The last game I remember playing on this was Morrowind. I've recently been craving a GOG that played like MW2 but had the graphics of the first ARMA, to compensate for my lack of computing firepower (Intel Celeron @ 1.8 Ghz with onboard graphics).

Barring obvious classics such as Halo 2, Max Payne, and the first two Fallouts, What are some good games to play on this still-truckin dinosaur?

The only oldest game that I remember playing was road rash. It was my all time favorite. I miss it though. Nowadays I don't play games much.
