Wifi Sense requires attention

Postby earthsalt » 28 Feb 2017, 17:20

I recently started to use a new high-capacity, high-performance laptop. I have seen this message pop up on my screen several times: "Wifi Sense requires attention".
Upon clicking this bubble message, I have been unable to make sense of the ensuing window.
I need your guidance on this.

Thanks for posting this link. Your generosity has enabled me to unearth this information about Wi-Fi Sense:

To get you on the Internet more quickly in more places, Wi-Fi Sense automatically connects you to open Wi-Fi hotspots it knows about through crowdsourcing. Even if it’s turned off, you can still connect to Wi-Fi networks on your own. Wi-Fi Sense is in Windows 10 to get you connected faster, so you can do what you want online.

I see. A nice invention.

May I however remind you that Wi-Fi Sense exposes you to the risk of connecting to contaminated wifi networks?

This should not be a huge problem if you are careful with whatever wifi connection you link to. The invention is not at fault in itself; the user is.
