External Laptop Battery

Postby Sam » 09 Mar 2017, 23:12

I've seen old (2013 ish) articles about external laptop batteries but can't seem to find any current information on them. Do they still exist (and for more than just Apple laptops)?

I doubt you will find these batteries for laptops other than Apple gadgets. Just my hunch.

I haven't heard of any external battery and I don't see them coming any time soon.

I haven't heard of these but do think they would be a great idea, so many people have problems with their laptop battery life. If someone could invent an internal battery that could be charged and connected to the laptop's power point, I think it could be very successful.

Internal laptop batteries are much convenient than external ones.I really don't understand this concept of external batteries. How would they work?

Why would you even need an external battery? Wouldn't it be heavy to carry it around with you? I understand the concept of external memory, but not external batteries.

Sure they are available, but they are not cheap:

Another option is a power inverter that plugs into your cigar lighter socket in your vehicle to supply a 110V plugin for a normal circuit.

Yeah, internal batteries are little costly and if there is a possibility to get directly from the manufacturers then that will be good and reasonable. But due to this problem, I changed my laptop recently.
