Qualcomm has developed low-end 200-series chips. The amazing bit is that these chips are meant to power feature phones. Better still, the chips are designed to bring some "smart" features to these low-end, low-cost devices.

You have a point. But I urge you to take note that majority of the billions of mobile phone users on earth are still using feature phones for various reasons. This technology would be a blessing to this group.
