Are Your Facebook Memories Good or Bad?

Postby cmoneyspinner » 05 Apr 2017, 19:00

I have been on Facebook for about 6 years. For the past year I have been going through my memories. Each day when I sign up, I get a banner with the words "Your Memories on Facebook". I almost always go through them. (Some days I'm busy and don't get to them.) I mentioned this topic in another community and one person said they were not so thrilled with their "memories". I was taken aback by that remark. It never occurred to me that people would not appreciate this fun feature!

If you have been on Facebook for a while, do you enjoy looking back on your Facebook memories? <3

If Facebook brings a memory of a death, or a divorce, or some other traumatic event... I can definitely see why people would hate this feature. I know I've been punched in the feels by it more than once.

Fortunately there's a way to turn it off.

I've never seen a traumatic Facebook memory yet, but I'm not really too active on there. I also haven't had to deal with a ton of death of loved ones, at least among those who were on Facebook.

I enjoy looking back on my Facebook memories. I always have this anticipation what Facebook will throw at me as my memories on the site. I always have the good one. I know I had the bad ones, which posts that I had before that about problems or complain but I failed to see it as I am not always online at Facebook.

I am not active on facebook but as for as I used, the memory was too good and I enjoyed a lot in chatting and sharing. But now my friends are little busy with their works so I also stopped to be more active on facebook.

Facebook, I have 2 accounts, one is for public where I share my post url links there, so there are international followers there and boy, there are junk images, links and post and vulgar words, which I must say, bad memories about them.

The other account is my personal account where only my good friends are there, so a lot of blissful and happy memories there.

So, it really depends on your followers.

I've been on Facebook for as long as it's been around, so I have a lot of FB memories. I have never had a horrible memory come up, and I think it's a neat little feature. So on that basis, I really like it. Some I share, some I don't.

I've never noticed the memories thing come up but I will answer this from a personal point of view. I joined facebook many years ago and although I get bored with it sometimes my memories are mainly good. I don't put very personal stuff on there so I haven't been involved in many dramas. Some people like to air their dirty washing there but I think that would make it an unpleasant experience for me. I don't want everyone knowing any problems I might have.

I never had Facebook because it was deemed unsafe, and it was banned in my school so... Of other social networks I had Twitter for RTs but my account was blocked, now I have Google and some other social apps for phone.

Well, I cannot really say if its good or bad. There were a lot posts I deleted like eight months ago when me and my partner broke up. The good thing was I didn't destroy my current account because there were a lot of people in my lists are close to me so. :D

Well, I do appreciate that my "memories" either good or bad, interesting or not, worth sharing or otherwise from the Facebook. Before I share them in public, I have to review them first for sometimes they are not worth sharing in some considerable incidence. I find no offensive about it for I am very particular of my past events to be recalled as fresh as ever they were. For I know the past gives the meaning of the present. It welds the tie that binds to be stronger if not strongest. Finally families are being strengthened and would eventually be forever, together.

facebook brings back memories both good and bad. Its like having a diary, where you write down how your days were, and your friends can comment on it

Some are good some are bad, I can not say Faceable was a good thing in my life, I only use it to keep in touch with one or two friends who live abroad. If you ask me if I like it the answer will be no, it destroyed some good relations including mine.

Most of the memories are good, like finding someone I hadn't been in touch with in years and then they posted an old picture or something. I also got on Facebook right around the time that something terrible happened in my life, so there are some things that show up that bring that all back.
