Good thing as you have admitted that you would not rely on this site alone. The thing is one has to read a lot of reviews of different sites and also compare them, plus proofs to be sure before joining these sites. However, there sites that only it's popularity and acceptance can easily convince one to join. Example is fiverr, though it has it's own few bad reviews too but since it's an established site, it would be easier to join than new sites.
