It's been very obvious that women are seriously addicted to pictures, be it with phone camera or original digital camera. They tend to takes pictures at almost every place they find themselves without being bothered.

My kid sister is an absolute example of what I am referring, she never go anywhere without taking a picture of herself already dressed up. Sometimes I would wonder why all these pictures? She might take a snap of one pose in over 10 places.

I don't know if this a normal thing, why are women so addicted to pictures?

You can say that again. I am a lady myself and I feel girls are getting out of hand with this selfie business. Everywhere we go we are girls taking pictures of themselves anywhere and everywhere .

I am all for taking pictures of places I go and taking pictures of my children, but no selfies. I hate having my picture taken much less taking it myself and posting it all over social media. I have a few friends on FB who are all about selfies and one even takes multiples and puts them in a collage. Hey it's great you love yourself but does the whole world have to be subjected to your self love. I'm not sure if it makes it sadder or not that they aren't part of the young generation.

I don't take any photos of myself but I like to take pictures of places I've been because it's nice to look back and remember a good time that I've had. All those duck faces that girls do in their selfie pics make me cringe.

I think it is true that women tend to take more pictures than men, but this is what makes them special. They enjoy moments in life and are more lively in this way than men ever could be.

I beg to differ. This is the generation of social media and selfies and seems like anybody who has phone that can take pictures is addicted to taking pictures. What I disapprove is that these people share pictures of children publicly. I don't think it's safe. I'm not all too sure when that child becomes an adult that they will appreciate their private pictures being shared either.

Nope, I do not take selfies because I know that I look horrible when the pictures comes out. Instead I take nature and recipe pictures for my blog

Yah! That is totally me (or more accurately my much younger self ). I love taking pictures, mainly I think to show off a very nice outfit. I also like taking pictures to capture or remember special occasions like birthdays and stuff.

Taking selfies is a part of our modern culture, but besides being a woman it is not my cup of tea. I don't take selfies and I rarely post pictures of me or my kids in facebook. I really don't understand this necessity to post selfies on social media, maybe one thing many people are looking for via their selfies is a boost to their self esteem because every like, share and positive comment is a boost to their confidence I think.

Yea they are because they are girls ,that is really normal.They want comepare with pictures which girl looks better,which have bigger hot parts and other things.

I guess they love to put every memory on their phone or their photo album because girls use to have cluttered minds.

Perhaps our ladies are just excited about the selfie technology, and not necessarily about taking pictures of the self. Only time will tell.

I am a girl and having a phone with a nice camera will also make me take pictures daily. It is good to admire ourselves.

I never take selfies as I think I'm too old to do the pouty thing now. People would laugh at me My daughter is very attractive but she only takes pictures of herself having a good time with her friends. I love those as I like to see her happy

I think that this is something normal.Since the smartphones become so popular and the social media platforms too,like Facebook,Instagram,Twitter,you can find pics and selfies everywhere.It is like a trend.I personally don't like to do this,but I completely understand this and I find it entertaining.You can see many celebrities doing this,taking selfies everywhere,so why not? other people can do the same.
