The biggest misconception of NON-GAMERS ???

Postby muaaz.93 » 11 Sep 2017, 17:55

There are so many misconceptions surrounding us in our daily life but the biggest misconception of non-gamers is that video games are intended towards children. I hear it all the time by my parents, friends, and colleagues that grown-up man. I absolutely hate this point of view as most of the games back in 1980’s like Gameboy and ATARI were meant to focus on kids but now the gaming industry has matured enough and most of the people playing are adults.Have you ever heard such comments from your peers? Some of my children are addicted to games in a big way, but I don't ridicule them. I just try to make them understand that there are plenty of ways online to spend that same amount of time and have just as much fun, but end up with real money in their pockets to enhance their lifestyle.

Working on a New Side-Hustle

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

I'm not sure if that is the biggest misconception. There is still a bit of stigma about gaming that it's somehow bad. Sure, it can be if abused, but there are good things about gaming as well. I also don't see the issue if leisure time is spent gaming, since whatever else you'd be doing for leisure would probably be "wasting time" as well.

I'm not a gamer and I don't know what misconceptions I might have about gaming. But I do know that video games are for kids is not one of them. I am very well aware that video games is a big industry and that its biggest market is not kids but adults.
