Do you find Facebook relaxing or stressful?

Postby averygirl72 » 13 Sep 2017, 07:36

Sometimes I rest while using Facebook. I'm busy checking out different accounts and seeing what they are doing with their lives. I also get some informative and inspirational post and videos. I find it relaxing at times to do Facebook but sometimes I'm stress too. I feel sad when other people's live seems more cool than my life. Sometimes you can't help but to compare people from yourself.

No so much stressed as irritated by some of the rubbish people put up there. The most annoying thing is when someone will put up a random outburst which no one understands and someone else will put 'You ok hun?' and they then put 'I'll pm you'. For some reason that annoys me intensely because it just looks like attention seeking.

I don't put anything personal on my fb and I enjoy looking at pictures of my friends, their children, animals and holidays etc. but some of it is just pointless.

I know what you mean when you say other people's lives seem more cool that yours but I think everyone feels like that sometimes. You never know what is going on behind closed doors though. I bet they're not happy all the time.

I find FB relaxing and entertaining. I tend not to get involved in arguments or name-calling, and if someone starts, I just don't bother responding as I have better things to do.

FB is a great tool for socialising and work.

Relaxing or stressful, it does not interest me in the first place. Moreover, I also often read in newspapers how people's lives are spoiled because of Facebook.

Sometimes Facebook can be relaxing, but other times not so much. It really depends on what's going on.

Face book for me is just for passing time I don't think it relaxes me given that sometimes you may see things that will upset you about certain things or certain people.

Facebook is such an awesome social media many times I log into my account I end up cracking my ribs because of some funny jokes I find there, besides I get to learn things from Facebook and finally through Facebook I can easily get online job opportunities which is such a perfect thing to me.

I find it to be not as fun as mylot is & it's a waste of time
when you can have more TRUE friends & a lot more conversations
& interesting things to talk about on mylot than you do on face book
& make money at it TOO you ought to come give it a try some time.

I use FB several times a day.

Probably the most annoying item is the drama that the same people have every month.

I absolutely refuse to take the bait and do not discuss politics or religion with anyone.

Now, I do post politics and religion that I approve of on MY PAGE and if you don't agree with me I Unfriend you. (Just kidding, well maybe....... )

It is relaxing if I'm not talking with anyone.
If I decide to comment on a post, then I have to keep in mind some trolls or annoying people in general may start interacting with it and increase the stress. :?
Most of the times I just watch videos and hit like. Videos about animals most of the time.

Oh my goodness, I feel you there. If you are going to tell people in private what is really going on then privately tell them something is wrong in the first place. Don't put a generalized rant on FB and not tell everyone what the deal is. I think they are just trying to attention too. I hardly ever put anything on FB other than some pictures of my kids or my dog. I don't air my dirty laundry out there for everyone. I am a private person anyway and sometimes I don't even tell my sister things.

FB for me is usually just a way of talking to family that live in different places. I will just scroll past stupid stuff that people put on there or if it is bad enough I will unfollow them so I don't have to see anything they put on there. I have a family member who I swear uses FB as a diary or daily journal. I don't need to know every single thing you did from the moment you opened your eyes until the moment you close them at night. I like to read books but not on FB.

My Facebook history is interesting.

First. I didn't know what I was doing and I to learn how to use it. Posted where I shouldn't have. (That's what I was told.) Got yelled at. Facebook sent me messages and said I was spamming or trying to friend strangers. Etc.

Second. I thought that I should have two accounts: one for work and one for personal.
But maintaining both was way too much extra and unnecessary work!

So after I passed the Social Media 101 course with flying colors, I was ready!

Third and final step. Decided that it was more practical to have a profile and some business pages mainly to support my work-at-home projects, my articles, my websites and my blogs. In the process, I made new friends. We don't always discuss work-related things. But then … when I worked in an office from 9-to-5 I didn't always discuss work-related things with my co-workers.

So for me when I sign into Facebook, it's just another day at the office.

Of course, every once in a while I must dazzle the social media crowd with my profound wisdom, thoughts and perspectives; and I inevitably piss somebody off! I am not purposely being mean-spirited. I just figure maybe you posted the topic because you wanted to hear my point of view. Hey! It showed up in my post stream! Blame the programmers who work for Zuckerberg!

I find Facebook.com very stressful. All the negativity, all the comments, likes, notifications! I just need to get away from it all sometimes. I don't have the app on my phone anymore and thank gosh! It has taken a weight off my shoulders! Sure, I still actually check my account from time to time on my laptop, but it still is a whole lot better than hearing "Pings" on my phone all day

I liked to use Facebook more than a year ago. I used it to chat with friends and to make new friends. But, never felt relaxed using facebook. Now I don't use Facebook. Facebook blocked my blog domain name saying its spam, but it was a normal link, and then I took retirement from Facebook. :D
