Even though Facebook does not pay its contributors, there are ways to make money through it. So people are after it.

I don't usually open my personal FB account because I intent to keep myself private. I don't like the idea of people keep on basing you according to what you place or post online.

Why would Facebook want to pay it's own users, people who actually want to be on there, connecting with family and friends? They are giving a service to their "clients", and through the service, they get ad revenue, (lots and lots of ad revenue).

Despite that people are connecting and reconnecting with their lovely ones, there also people who calve their of educating people for free and this has boost facebook traffic. So sharing their revenue with some tasks shouldn't be a bad idea

I'm not really sure why it overtook all others. I remember back when MySpace was the place, lol. FB threw them in the dirt. It's a completely different site now.

Facebook is an entertainment arena. I'm even surprised anyone is asking what entertainment is on there. From videos, stories, jokes and community, you can stay on Facebook for hours on end and be entertained.

This is the reason why Steemit it trying to gain the attention of FB people and maybe convert them to use their platform. Steemit is trying to disrupt the social media by giving its subs the potential to monetize their activities which is very similar to what we do on FB. I know they could not rival FB but would not hurt if someone will try to.

For me facebook is a source of wasting time but I use for entertainment most of the time. I enjoy time there but facebook don't pay users for activity, I think its a good platform for social marketing and we can reach many people there.

Facebook is boring, I only find it useful to speak with friends and family abroad, appart from that it is garbage. People spend so much time there without the notion of what they are doing, I see people revealing their whole lifes there, where they are, what they eat, etc. There are so much interesting alternatives to social networks in my perspective, with Facebook you loose your time instead of improving yourself doing different activities like studying a language, discover new thinks, etc.

That might be,because most of the people, who are active on social media are there for entertainment,to have fun.Not to earn cash.Who wants to earn cash on social media, finds a way to do it.But,you are right, who is active there, should be paid.

I tend to agree with this. I check my facebook daily and enjoy some of the quizzes or funny videos but I hate the way people put their personal rants up for all to see. There's something very seedy about it.

Same question that crosses my mind all the time,if a small site like Mylot can pay for interaction, I think Facebook should follow suit.I know a lot of people would make so much from it.
