Online threats are growing bigger and faster. Even "secure" sites can be hacked. There are vulnerabilities that can be exploited. There are sites that can help you avoid visiting a site filled with malware. Hosts-file dot net is one of them.

Once you are in the site, use the find box at the top right of the page. Type in the url of the site you would like to check. The results will inform you of attacks or malware on the site in question. The results are detailed and as such, you will have to take time to understand the type of data it provides. The site has a forum which can be helpful as well. The site is powered by Malwarebytes which has a good reputation and is known for having a great anti-malware engine.

I would not place sole reliance on the site. You can use it in addition to the tools you currently use.
