Favorite Game Studio

Postby thisnthat » 15 Sep 2017, 13:19

Do you have a favorite game studio? There are a lot of good game makers out there, but some stand out above the rest.

Blizzard used to be my favorite. I actually think Bonfire will be my new fave as soon as they launch something, ha ha. It was started by a former lead from the early years of World of Warcraft, and I love this guy. He wants to bring the MMORPG genre back to its roots. I'm eagerly awaiting his new games.

My favorites are some that respect the consumers ( gamers ) like Tripwire Interactive , Flying Wild Hog and CD Projekt Red.
I never heard of Bonfire.

From the Flying Wild Hog site
"We do not believe in managers or leads who themselves don’t create real content of a game. People who are responsible for management in our studio also work as programmers, artists or designers.
We do believe that people who are given freedom, both for their ideas and use of their skills, work better and more effective."

Bonfire is new. I am expecting great things from them.

Yep, that sounds like a good philosophy. I agree that it takes more than good games to be a good company.

EA might have good games, but they were also voted worst company in America by players...

Sure does. Check it out. http://www.bonfirestudios.com

Pardo's game making philosophy blows me away. The rest of the team sounds good too.
