How to secure internet banking on mobile phone.

Postby Hafizan » 21 Sep 2017, 19:53

Banking on the Internet saves time at no extra cost but the dangers are very real..It is safe if you take basic precautions..Never store your account information, such as the account number, debit and credit card PINs on your mobile handset..If you use a banking app, download applications directly from your bank..Never store your user name and password on your mobile handset for automatic login..Stay safe on your mobile..Never leave your device unlocked..Keep the apps on your phone regularly updated..Try not to use unsecured wi-fi networks for banking, purchases or checking your emails..Take care when downloading apps..if something looks too good to be true, it probably is..Please share if you have another tips to making online banking more secure..Sharing is caring..Always!!

I have internet banking on my smartphone and I feel secure about it because I use harder password to guess and never save them with my browser, my internet banking give me another security and that is whenever I log in they ask for a code which sent to my cell phone, without the code no one can enter. So its safe for me :)

Great...same here..I never ever save password or any code on phone and my computer...never automatically save on browser ...the harder password you create, more difficult to break in..this is what we should do to protected our privacy

Always have a passcode on your phone, always log out any application where you use online banking. Make your passcode/password strong so it will never be hacked easily.

I try to be as careful as possible but you never know.. Last year my debit card details were stolen somehow and someone tried to withdraw money from it from USA but he couldn't as I had changed my pin number just the day before it happened. So now I keep very small amount of money in my debit card so that even if it gets compromised I won't lose much.
