This is really good because 140 limit was not good I guess, more is better! Is it already activated on twitter? I'm asking because not yet noticed any change like this, 140 character is really should exceed.

140 characters is what made Twitter popular and made it different from other sites. It kept things, short, to the point and entertaining. I fear they will lose their uniqueness now.

My thoughts exactly, when I first heard the news. I wonder how it will affect them, it does seems that they were having problems and perhaps falling behind other social networks. Perhaps they are correct and their users will actually prefer the longer tweets, I suppose they will have done their research. Will be interesting to see how it works out for them and what impact it will have on their activity and traffic.

I'm not such a big Twitter user, so I'm not sure how this new development will pan out. I only go on there to interact with fellow posters and to share my content but I can't say I'm a big fan. If it didn't draw so many followers, I honestly wouldn't use the site at all.

I think 140 characters was just cool. It is going to take a while before users get used to 280 characters. I can only imagine seeing paragraphs while scrolling my timeline and it won't be interesting anymore.
