YouTube what to do?

Postby fistsworn » 11 Oct 2017, 17:28

So I have a YouTube channel, genre/niche: CreepyPasta and "spooky" mythology and facts from across the world.

Pros: It has monetization, It's very ad friendly. I enjoy telling this stories :D

Cons: I can find the time to research record and edit, though very difficult.
My MIC broke(50$) and can't invest in another one at the moment.

Writting here to se if anyone has some tips and/or solutions. The cheap microphones do indeed suck for this kind of jobs. The channel make only a few bucks(2-4) a month, but it has potential if I keep regular uploads. Problem is whitout voice acting it's hard to keeep the channel up xD Should I keep going with a sh**ty mic untill I can afford a new one?
Or use softaware to rad in robotic voice and do mostly facts untill I can buy that new mic?

I am writing articles here for 1 year and I have saved 200$ from FC. I am going to buy Blue Yeti MIC which costs 320$ here in Amazon India. This MIC is so good that your voice quality improves on channel. I suggest you do anything you can and invest into this, your money will return two folds once channel takes off.

Hi!
I already had the same problem. When I started my youtube channel I didn't had a good microphone. I started to use an old headset... and then I made some research and found out that many people use their smartphone to record their voice :)
My smartphone is no big deal but was better than my old headset. ;)

If you have a smartphone you can use it to record until you can buy a microphone...

I was going to say use your phone for now.

I'm sure there's a mic that falls in between the cheapest junk and the pricey one. Read reviews and see if there is a mid-range, moderately priced one that you can use until you can afford the more expensive option.

Good luck.

Being a Vblogger in youtube, you should know your topic well, do not create different topics so your audience know what will be the reason to follow your Vblog.

I think you should invest a mic because it is the reason why your youtube channel is growing. But it is your choice :D

If you have financial constraints just be creative. You can use your smartphone to record your VO and use a free audio editor like Audacity to edit it. Then you can mix it with your video. You can continue saving for your favorite gadget.
