Mine is ACER and also hanging since I installed windows 10.

And before, it used to hang when I played a movie CD but did not hang when I watched a movie stored in the laptop.

It also hangs when I play GTA vice city.

So for your case, I think the windows could be outdated or the laptops memory cannot Support that activity.

I don't think the battery has anything to do with hanging. The battery is for providing power and not supporting movies. Rule out the battery or charging. It's something else.

May be the operating system is not compatible to your device.

Regarding GTA vice city is not compatible to windows 10. If you wish to play that certain game. Install windows ROG.
All games are working depend on the games bit requirements.

Perhaps it would be best if you have your laptop fully charge before using. Common problem is the battery and some is for low GB left on your RAM. :!:

it could be one of this reasons.
#1 if the video is in high definition and your laptop/pc don't have high video card or low RAM then that is 1 reason.
#2 thermal problem, check if the CPU is overheating. check the motherboard, the gpu and the fan.
#3 outdated media player, try to update it regulary. sometimes its the player problem.

Mine used to hang with windows 7 so I updated to 10. It worked fine for two months and now it is hanging when I open word and sometimes the pointer won't move when I scroll. I am starting to think the version of windows they installed for me is not genuine.
