Has anyone encountered any issues with Wi-Fi Internet connection speed after upgrading to Windows 10?

My USB Wi-Fi adapter worked fine when I was still using my old computer with Windows 7, but after using a new computer with Windows 10, the speed is extremely slow, and sometimes the connection is just cut off. I wonder if it's the issue of my USB adapter, or it's Windows 10.....

I upgraded some time ago and I remember it took a long time to actually upgrade, somewhere around 2 1/2 hours but there was no problem with internet speed after as far as I can recall.

If it is just slow it could be due to Windows downloading updates but if the connection got cut off, that's something else.
It's a plug-n-play adapter right? Any chance it has a driver?
