Gmail marked as spam

Postby Sam » 20 Dec 2017, 20:54

Anyone had any issues with their outgoing Gmail emails being picked up by spam filters? I have a feeling that I am going to have to invest in my own mail solution or something.I have some issues people responding to my emails and today I had an automatic reply for an email with "{Spam?}" in the title - suggesting it may have been picked up.

It would not surprise me if some email servers mark gmail as spam just for revenge. The gmail system has been very aggressive for quite some time in automatically marking incoming email from other servers as spam just because the other servers do not comply with some arbitrary decision coming from gmail.

I happen to use ymail, which is an option for yahoo. I frequently find my email messages to friends who use gmail rejected because gmail refuses to accept them, even if I am just replying to something they sent to me first.

The messages I get back from gmail is that the yahoo email server does not comply with some specification required by gmail and that as a result, they reject all incoming email from that server. They tell me to contact the postmaster for yahoo for more information, which I have done several times.

If I was in charge of these other servers, I would reject all incoming gmail messages just to kick them back. Maybe some email servers are finally rejecting gmail intentionally. As far as I am concerned, it is about time.

This explanation makes sense.
Lets say its a case of corporate bullying.

Google has had a history of corporate undercutting and not playing by the rules, such as "cooking" search results to allow Google provided products to be higher on Google searches than their competitors, or routing taxes through offshore accounts in the Caribbean, and Ireland, so this development would not really surprise me and it really doesn't.

I checked and deleted my gmail spams nowadays. Well, I only noticed that those emails marked as spam could be because of repeated, if not, provides a malicious or website that is being reported. If some aspects are in there, then probably, that's the reason.

Some people use Gmail for spamming since it's Google product and most people trust it. But if some messages are few time marked as spam then that sender email goes on blacklist.

I haven't had this particular problem. I do have an issue getting gmail to work for various offers though. I guess because they sort stuff so well, some companies don't want to let you sign up with gmail. They just want to flood your whole inbox instead.
