Data usage

Postby mrki444 » 15 Jan 2018, 23:25

I just checked my data usage and result is 63.93GB for last month.

How much did you spend data on surfing and browsing?

I rarely take not of the data that I use but am now seeing the essence of taking note and see whether my monthly earnings are equivalent to the data that I use.

It's important to monitor your monthly data usage so that you won't spend more money in useless stuffs.

I consume 3 GB per day. That includes Amazon Prime and youtube and also the paid to post sites and other places.

When I was doing some online campaigns I spend about 2GB per day only for video uploads. Often was even more plus regular surfing.

I just consume every day more or less 2-3 GB since I am just selecting the site that I would go into.

I'm not actually aware of my data usage per day I just keep on browsing. I hope I don't consume a lot of data. :lolno:

I honestly don't pay any attention to my usage. I absolutely hate data bundles and feel they're hideously expensive. I am on an unlimited internet plan for exactly that reason and it works out more cost effective too. I never even knew about data bundles until I moved from the UK back to Botswana and when I did, I thought it was ridiculous. I recently read an article that confirmed that people in Botswana pay the most for their data. Sad, really.

Here, the word unlimited is very sensitive because the reality there's no such thing as unlimited after you reached the maximum limit of your data per month your internet connection will start to slow that's why there's a law here for giving the true information about the data usage that they can consume per month.

I don't usually pay attention to the amount of data I use on my phone since I rarely use data. But this thread made me curious enough to look at my phone account to see. Last month I used 1.3 GB of data. My limit is 2GB so I did an analysis of my account and my carrier recommended the plan with 5GB and it won't cost me anything extra so I went ahead and changed my plan. I also seen that my bill is going to be cheaper because I have finally paid off my phone. YAY!!!

I get 1.5 GB (for $6 for 84 days) on one and 1.4 GB data on my wife's phone at almost same price which is more than enough for our daily use. I am presently doing all my online work using this data since I have not renewed my broadband connection ever since I went to Australia. I am working on my laptop using USB tethering. I have noticed that my use of data in routine is no more than 400-500 MB unless I download a heavy file. The war of telecom companies has made the data price way cheaper than what it was a year ago.

I actually hate it when they do have fair policy usage. This means that you can't enjoy your internet access because it will become limited as soon as you hit their data cap. Like, 800 MB and you're capped. Also, we still have very expensive internet with very poor connection.

I remembered the days in my home that there was no internet wifi and only I can do to surf internet is to use my data. My phone produces heat due to my data usage over the past months. Never use data when you felt that your phone is getting warmer and turn off your data when you're not using it because it'll damage the battery inside your phone. :!:
