Well let me start by saying that windows 10 is a real problem. I have an i7 with 6gb ram and ended up formating my pc and installing Linux on it. Windows 10 after installation seems to work fine but with time and with the update you computer gets slower. Windows defender will also help to screw the whole system, I remember all my problems started with it, I couldn't disabled it and every time I tried to install a new anti-virus the system crashed. You can always try to check if it is a spyware issue, try using malwarebytes free to check your system.
Another important point is the one mrki444 refered, RAM is very important when running Windows 10.
My advice to all users who don't play games on the pc and are more or less familiar with commands is to use Linux. I am using Linux Mint Sonya and I m quite happy about it.
