* First there was Orkut (launched in 2004, retired in 2014).
* Second came Google Friend Connect (launched 2008, retired in 2012)
* Third attempt was Google Buzz (launched 2010, retired in 2011).

Shocking isn't it? Took the tech god 4 times to get it right and still some people aren't too sure the G+ social network won't shut down. There have been business predictions that The End would come to past. But it's 2018 and Google Plus is still here. Alive and kicking!

Is anybody here on Google Plus?
I was invited to create an account during the test phase and in 2011, when the social network was officially opened to the public, my account was already set up. Later, I was even given a custom URL (+TreathylFox) to replace that long identification number that nobody can remember!
* I have a profile and several business pages (Google now calls them “brand accounts”).
* I use the G+ Collections and Communities to share my content which includes sharing affiliate product links.
* I uses automation tools like dlvr.it and IFTTT to help me keep my profile and pages populated with content.
