Before I have a UPS my computer gets ruined after a blockout. One of the most common issues is that it stops working and I have to call a repair man and that scammer will charge me a lot of money.I really don't know why my PC malfunctions if it's not properly shut down.

Ever since I have a UPS, My pc have 30 minutes worth of energy so I can shut it down properly in case of blackouts.

Once I shut down my computer during the blackout, I will plug my router to the UPS and the router have 2 hour worth of electricity. So I can use internet for 2 hours with my tablet.

I heard if you connect your UPS to a car battery you can have 10 hours of electricity for your pc. Sometimes the blackouts in my area lasts for 7 hours.

I don't have an UPS, but my mom uses one in her computer. In my Hometown energy are always with some problems and electronics are always breaking because of that...
However her UPS are only for 8/10 minutes. She doesn't need more than that...
How much does it cost an UPS like yours?

After being scammed by many repair people, I don't deal with them anymore during blackouts. I really don't know why Blackouts ruins my computer but the UPS saved me from that.

Connecting UPS to a car battery sounds scary but it is something I want to learn but yeah tutorials looks complicated even with videos. I am not an expert on wires.

If you have often blackouts, your power supply can be damaged or some other component like graphic card.

UPS saves me from that because It gives me computer 30 minutes worth of electricity so I can shut down my pc properly during blackouts.

I have an inverter with a backup time of 2 kilowatt. That means I can use 2000 watts of energy when there is a power outage. It's connected so that all devices/instruments connected automatically transfer with this inverter in less than a millisecond without shutting anything. Incidentally I do not use my laptop's battery (I keep if off my laptop if not traveling).

That's a clever idea and thank you for sharing it. We might be able to use this in the future. Currently, I am using a laptop so I don't use UPS. My laptop battery can last for 5 hours.

That is the advantage of Laptop users over Desktop users. Longer battery shelf. Laptop users won't need a UPS but I prefer Desktop because I can abuse them more.

It came with my first computer and that was years ago. We were told that UPS is a must for areas where current goes off frequently.

Apart from this UPS we now have a home ups that continues to provide power to the computer ups and other items such as fans, and tv when there is no electricity.

Yes, UPS is a must if you are using Desk Top Computer! I live on a farm and we have frequent power failures or interrupted power supplies because of which I used to face lot of trouble with my desk top computer. I have started using UPS but then that would last for some 15 to 20 minutes. So to stay out of these problems I have purchased a Lap Top and I am happy with it now! Thanks!
