This has to be the most disturbing ad I had ever seen in ages

If you see the picture above, I saw it in a forum where I am a regular. That ad is looks like a password hacking service.

It is a complete red flag to me to see an advertisement like that.So there people who uses services like the one from the ad so they can guess password. This is the most illegal sounding business I had ever seen being advertised. I do not want someone else to know my password. :? :hair:

I wish there is a way to stop a service like this one.

This is very regular.
No need to get preocupied. This is usually done either through:

Social engineering:They call, they fake they are from that service, if you're a fool you give it.

Bruteforce: A software that uses 1 list of emails+ 1 list of passwords aswell as one of proxies. To guess the abbination of working logs wich will be esported in a file.

There are loads of services like this one or that sell crackd accounts.

The only way to prevent this is:

Use non-common words.
Use: Upper and lower case letters
Use: Numbers atleast 2
Use: Special charcters
Try to allways use all the available characters that the site offers.
Allways take the time to configure your Gauth 2fa if the site offers it.

If a phone number is to be added do indeed put it, it's the most sure way you will recover your account in case it's broken into.

I can't believe that add is allowed. There is no way on earth that thing they are advertising is legal. Imagine there is now a business people can pay to steal accounts.

I agree. I don't think the ad should be allowed. Even if it's legit, it doesn't look legit. I wouldn't click on it!

I think the people who know the reality of such ads would never touch it. The only people that get hooked are the newbies and they learn their lesson a harder way. All I can suggest is, just look at them and ignore.

The ads showed to us usually relevant from our searches or interests online. Although, it's not disturbing for me because I already know that there are those password penetration services.
