Do not buy things from ebay!!

Postby Netherrealmer » 03 Jun 2018, 13:48

I ordered a shirt on ebay and when it arrived it is in children's size!! I heard these scams had been around on ebay for a long time like the woman who ordered a beautiful dress and what they delivered is clothing for barbie dolls. I also heard about the story of a man who ordered a smartphone but received a toothbrush instead.

This kid ordered Iphone X on ebay but he received a fake android phone instead!

Oh here is a compilation of the poor souls who got scammed by ebay sellers.

I will never buy anything from ebay again!

Thanks for informing us and it could be also a reminder to avoid being scammed. In my part, I never tried buying online products from eBay or in any online selling site. I like physical shopping than on it.

Ebay has a very good protection for buyers and sellers, all you have to do it to open a ticket and they will solve the issue for you. I've been using ebay for many years and only once I had a costumer who claimed he did not received the item, by then I reported him to ebay and they solved the issue very fast.

I don't think a site like eBay will do that but in some cases the sellers or the courier boys do such things. However, the company concerned is responsible for all such things and see to it that its customers do not suffer. You should raise the issue.

For sure there are good sellers but I had been getting low quality products even from highly reviewed sellers.

I have been buying and selling things on ebay for years. There are things I will not buy on ebay such as electronics and clothing. When I sell something I have pictures of the item I am selling and a give a detailed description of what the item is. I have 100% positive feedback and Always offer a refund if the buyer is not satisfied . :)

Do they even know that they're destroying their reputation? Or maybe its the people who deliver go on conning people.

Not all sellers are scamers. Many people don't read and they just click and buy. By reading I mean choose size, color and other things.

Yeah, usually they actually WRITE this down, but in the fine print or where people usually don't read.

There's a Seller that sold 250$ XBOX ONE BOX(few days after it was out), neither PayPal nor eBay and he even was talking to his lawyer student friend    Since the Seller had written in the description that he was selling an empty box, no one could do anyhting about it, the box had arrived. Deal closed.

-Always read.

I like ebay and I buy some some things there.
I only had one problem once (with a keyboard for my laptop). Since then I have a rule that I always follow: I try not to buy electronic things (only if they are ridiculous cheap) and buy only cheap things (not exceding $10). :)

Not everyone on Ebay is a scammer. Have you tried to solve your problem by contacting the seller, or Ebay themselves?

I have bought 10's of Thousands of Dollars worth of products from Ebay sellers over the last 20 years and never found these kind of problems. Keep in mind, Ebay is a MIDDLEMAN and sells nothing themselves.

In India ebay already faced a closure, so there is no point of purchasing or selling any product on that site! The owner of ebay sold it and invested in flipcart!
