I wish my grandma is this cool!

Postby Netherrealmer » 15 Jun 2018, 09:36

I want to be like this woman when I get super old. This grandma loves to explore the woods but at her age it is not possible anymore so she resorted to playing Skyrim since that game does have beautiful sceneries. She said it keeps her mind active. She stream games at Youtube and Twitch which earns her money.

My parents and my grandparents don't understand videogames and think it is stupid so I am jelous to the grandchildren of this woman. If this is my Grandma, I will play multiplayer with her.

Some grandparents do resist! I know. I'm one of them. Just never really got into the video games. Another thing I don't do? TEXT!!

Look! I have a laptop. I got on the Internet and created social media accounts. And I'm trying to learn about cryptocurrency. Gimme a little bit of credit for not staying that far back in the Dark Ages.

My husband refuses to get on social media and when I mention cryptocurrency he says ... Eh! You do it!

For the record. We're great grandparents. :D

I think any grandma who will attempt to stream games online will automatically make a lot of money on twitch because gamers always wish their mom or grandmas play games.

I really enjoyed this video. It made me smile :)
I also started gaming in the 90's and I'm really seeing me like this lady... gaming until I'm very very old ;)

I always said I will be like the woman in the video because I don't feel like the years passing by. My mind is young even me being 45 years old, I love to do the same things I used to do when I was twenty and gaming is one of those things. I find most conversations from people with my age boring as hell because people concern to much about life and the topics are always the same. I am person who needs more than talk about clothes, nails, hair, creams and that kind of stuff, I love to talk about a wide variety of topics which interest both men and woman and that is why normally people get surprised when I tell them how old am I.

I don't want to be left behind on the flow just because I got old. I know many older people decides to live forever on their era. It is like music, many people stops liking newer music the moment they turn 30 and they will get close minded to any new music.

You are a modern grandma, better than my mom and dad. Both my parents are computer illiterate. They don't even know how to on the computer! When I am old, I want to venture into money making sites too. Right now, I am earning but not much.

Aside of having a cool grandfather! How I wish I had a cool grandma too that will support with my want and hobbies especially doing some life experience young people do like going to a friends party or attending some acquaintance parties in the school! But what can I do I leave in a life having a strict grandmother like always says after class go home directly, where are you going, this is what you where and blah blah blah and money more feels like your living like a prisoner. I know that she cant relate of what I want or what is the trend nowadays haler we are modern now and not living in a Spanish era that even before seeing a man should go by the house first....whooaaaah. Kinda a little embarrassment that as if when you met a man its kinda marrying set up. And now I am already grown how happy I am that I live alone and no more DO'S and Dont's. And every time I recall the past it just make me laugh.

I just found a grandma cooler than the first one I shared. Street Fighter is harder to learn than Skyrim. This grandma plays Street Fighter and she mains the Villain Akuma. Though Akuma is an easy character to use. His finisher "Raging demon" is hard to execute that even players who competes on tournament because it is a hard move to learn.

This grandma defeats her enemies with Raging Demon!!!

It's cool. I cannot expect my grandparents like this. It's all about the choices we made in our lives.

Both my grandparents on my father's side is already gone. I never met them in person. I only have one grandma left but she is far living from us (I missed her. ) and she is illiterate on this thing. If I'll become a grandma someday I wish my mind will be still active. I still want when I get old to explore and venture like the cool grandparents did out there.

this''ll be a bit off topic, but methinks it's worth it, so, even though she's not a grandma yet, she is definitely ultra cool grandma material, right? :D

Hehehehe.. I understand why you feel jealous. It's quite normal. I also like when old generation people try to use and understand technology. It's actually about some people's personality.. Some people always stay curious to know and explore new things and some not.

I am 70 now and not into video games even though we have a playstation and wii in the house but I love the internet and couldn't imagine being without it. I have however done online stuff that people wouldn't think I would do in a million years. Only one person here knows what it is.

79 and still enjoying games - good for her!  But she's right, playing games is stimulating for the brain. Studies have shown that older people who retire and let their brains go idle soon deteriorate, becoming more prone to all manner of brain-related conditions.
