Many people claim they are religious but somehow they got too lazy to go to church so they worship with technology instead. Some Churches are now streaming their church service online so people can worship God at the comfort of their home while at the comfort of their PC or mobile phone.

The picture above is a screenshot of a church stream. What is your opinion of this kind of church service? Do you think it is a great way of modernizing religion or is it blasphemous?

I can't speak for the why of all the video sermons that are streamed on the Internet. But with respect to most of the churches of Christ that stream there are two main reasons: (1) To share the gospel with as large an audience as possible, as part of carrying out the Great Commission; and (2) For the believers who are sick or shut-ins and can't physically get out to attend worship services, so that they can still receive spiritual edification and be uplifted. It is NOT to make it convenient for believers who have chosen to forsake the assembly. (Heb 10: 25)

It's not blasphemous. It's motivated by reverence and respect and a sincere effort to "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel".

As for "modernizing"? The message of the gospel is timeless. The method of spreading the gospel? Word of mouth. Books. Videos. Video streaming. It's all preaching.

( This is not not my opinion. It's doctrine. )

Also, sometimes I listen for additional Bible study.

It is nice that the church has been reaching out to people but I prefer to go to church.
