Philips headphones - no sound

Postby germainebull » 19 Jul 2018, 11:25

Hi friends!

I have a problem as follows:
- I have been using a pair of wired Philips headphones smoothly, until recently.
- This is the issue; the headphones are not communicating any sound from my laptop.
- The model is HP - 928MV

I need your help in diagnosing and resolving this problem.

Hello!

It's really difficult advise you in this situation. You have to give us some more information... However I can tell you what I would do in this situation... I would do the following tests:
- Try the headphones with another device;
- Try other headphones with the computer (and verify if the notebook speakers are working - if they are not working could be an issue associated with drivers or sound card)
- Verify the headphones cable... sometimes it breaks...

Do this simple tests and let us know if you already found what's causing this issue :)

Most of the times there is discontinuity in the wire which may be at the joints which are difficult to trace. With the help of continuity checker this problem can be diagnosed!
