I've been using the Windows software on my laptop for more than 2 years.
Lately, I've been receiving the following reminders: "Activate Windows".
Problem is, I don't have the key for Windows as a trader who sold the laptop to me installed the software.
My question: If I ignore these reminders, what harm may befall me?

Actually the main harm is, it will always remind you to activate. Secondly you couldn't get some feature. Example is, "You can't change your Desktop Background, Theme, Color or Other Some normal feature.

Well have you checked your PC for any stamp with the activation key? The main problems it brings you is that you won't be able to update your system, you will always have that annoying message, also depending on your windows version if you do a Google search you will find some activators which will solve the problem for some time but none works 100% and forever. If you have the sellers contact try to talk with him, normally if is a professional seller they own several licenses.

Sometimes on projection screen can be that messages so if you watch movie, it can be problem.

Activate windows like a pirate copy of windows version. What I experienced before is not activate windows but the annoying update to Windows 10 which is actually free at that time and I didn't.

It seems like that trader has installed a pirated copy of windows and when your laptop connected to Microsoft your activation got cancelled. You can find cheap windows 7 CDs on ebay or amazon then you will need to upgrade your windows version to windows 10 (if you want).

Yes, such things can occur if the Laptop company is not providing the Windows along with the Laptop. Installing the windows by the vendor is always a questionable about the originality! I too faced such problem with my Desk Top and for that I had to purchase the Windows Disk from market which comes with password/code !

You can buy refurbished Windows license for 20$. It's legal and you will not any legal problems.
