I remember in the good old days the only pornographic magazine that did the rounds was Playboy. I also remember how that magazine was kept away from children and every other member of the household. The man in the house perhaps was the only one who had access and that too when no one was around. It was considered a sin to even have a copy around.

Look at the state today Even kids as young as four or five years can see the most grotesque of pornography with just a click of the mouse

What does this tell us? Does that mean pornography is no longer taboo, no longer harmful, no longer a sin?

Everything has good and bad side, even pornography. Bad side is like you said that to much very young population can acess it and that shoud be more controled. But there are some good sides like more content and areas and we don't have to spend money on expensive magazines.

The thing is the more you get strict to kids the more curious they will get. I started watching porn at age 14 and I didnt turn into a rapist pervert. Parents who are so strict to their children about sexuality tends to develop children who are more curious. Sex education begins at home and a parent won't worry about that if they raised their kids to know their limits.

I will give you two situations. A Pastor's daughter and a Stripper's daughter. Who became a teenage mom and who graduated college with honors.... The Pastor's daughter rebel against the strict Christian lifestyle her parent forced her to.She became more curious about sex which leads to rebellion. Meanwhile the stripper's daughter is still a virgin, finished college and focuses more about her future.

Teaching kids to have boundaries is better than thumping conservative values that will choke them to rebel. A kid wont be curious about porn if a parent can keep them busy with sports and other activities that are fun.

You are right about parents' role in molding kids and in a way I notic you too think it is right that kids are kept away from pornography. The fact that even the Internet has rules about this surely is an indication that porn is not for kids although why it is not for kids is not spelt out but understood.

And your comparison about behaviour of kids who are in check and those that have been given the freedom these are rare cases.

Not all get affected by whatever influence they are exposed to and what you have said about you is a good example.

There is one other important point I want to add and that is pornography interferes in one's married or partnership life in that what one see in those videos is not something that a partner would enjoy and having seen those trapeze acts there is bound to be a change in approach spelling disaster in one life - just a thought.

May be I belong to the old school of thought and prefer to stay there. There have never been that
many incestuous acts as one reads about these days and I am sure people get encouraged to go in for that after looking at what they see in pornographic sites.
