After I received a very disturbing email from a scammer. I decided to make a research. This is a website created by Troy Hunt, He wanted to help people to know if their email address had been hacked.

This website is easy to use. All you need is to type your email and it will inform if someone had hacked your email or not.

If you had been hacked the results will look like this:


If your email has never been hacked, the results will look like this:


Change your password if you got a red result because it means someone has been spying your email. This website is very useful to know if your email had been safe or not. If you did ptc before, I promise, you will get a red result.

I have 5 emails and 2 of my emails are apparently hacked. I changed their passwords right away.

Interesting site! Yes, we can come to know if our e mail has been hacked or not through this application. But then what is the guarantee that our e mail won't get hacked even if we change the Password? Hackers are experts in cracking the passwords! And how safe is it to give our email address here to verify if it is hacked or not? Thanks!

It is created by people who wanted to keep people safe. These people are vigilant against hacking and spamming. They are endorsed by many governments too.

Apparently, Clicksense hacked one of my emails.

There is this bad news that 2 billion mail IDs and passwords have been hacked and and placed on internet for public in form of text. According to Troy Hunt an Australian Cyber security expert you can check your email too going to (not a ref link)

If the result says
Oh no — pwned!

Then your ID is breached or else if it says Not Pwned then you are safe.

Try it and do the needful.

They can still invade your privacy. I remember the story of a closeted lesbian woman who sued google while remaining anonymous. Here is the thing, no one knows she is a lesbian and not even her family and friends but her family became suspiscious because of the ads she receives and she found out its google's fault.

I just came across this website - haveibeenpwned.com just today, and I wanted to post it in this forum,. But then I came across your post. Yes, I have checked my email ID for breaches, and found that it was breached on two occasions - once in 2014 on KickStarter and other in 2016 on ClixSense.

You will know cause there will be a notification that you have logged in on another phone and that person was not you

Thanks for the link. I had checked my emails, out of 5, 4 of them had been hacked 2x.
I noticed that if my password is long plus less used, it is safe.
