Yesterday morning my router packed up so I had no internet. I bought a new one which wasn't suitable so had to go back and change it today. Almost two days without internet!! I didn't realise how dependent I was until I was without it, no forums, no Netflix, no searching my favourite sites. How dependent are you? Does it bother you to have no internet?

I was reading your topic and I thought about my parents... some time ago they didn't care about technology and internet but now they are really dependent Last month they had the same problem as you and they complain all the time "what can I do without internet?" they said

Experiencing our live without internet is really awkward now, especially because when I need to find something or research about something I use internet and google or youtube...

Apart from attending various earning sites and searching on Google there are many things, I do on internet . I use internet for recharging my mobile phone and my dish TV. I use for paying my electricity and water bill. I use it for my banking purpose , mailing purpose and watching news. I need to go to various portals pertaining to my profession and I file my income tax returns online! Thanks!

I can be very dependent on internet everyday, not because of the earning sites or any other social site but because without it I can't communicate with my partner happens to work in the other side of the world.

I think internet now is a need because it helps a lot from business, jobs, studies, and communication. It helps to save from time, queue line, and fare/commute in transacting personal or business matter. I can say I'm dependent on those issues. I do regulate my use on it so I can well-balance the all aspects of life as a human being.

I am very dependent during weekdays. Just an interruption like scheduled brown-outs makes my day very incomplete.

I think many of us feel the same way. It's never happened to me before so I didn't know how I would feel. However I do have a very clean house now and the dogs got walked more!

I am always online whether it is for on a laptop, my smartphone, or streaming services . If my cable modem or router goes down, I can drive to the local cable company and swap out the equipment unless they are closed then i just go the next day

yes sadly I am too. I was so bad when I couldnt get online, I would then clean up files on my computer, or play a game on my computer and it would help the cravings

Yes I will admit that I use the internet for everything. Earning money, paying bills, banking, and just searching things. I don't like being without the internet. It is a shame that we have become so dependent on it but that is how things go. I don't know how long we would last off the grid.

Well, no internet means no work, no communication. It also means a lot of time for the family, for the chores and other works.

I am quite dependent on my internet. My prepaid internet pack was expired two days back because of which I couldn't my new my Tata Sky Connection at my place in my Home City, I couldn't pay the electricity bill and also i couldn't send my routine records to higher ups. Having got activated the internet I have completed those chores! Thus I can say I am internet dependent person!

I'm very dependant because of regular and online job. When I don't have internet in my apartment, than I go in bar.

I can function without it but at this present time I need it for work purposes. I have lived in the mountains before where there was no internet or cel phone service. I had to wait until I went into the city 30 minutes away before I could use any type of internet service. It worked very well for me as it made me less anxious and more calm.
