No, Windows closed the service because now is an operating system too old. If you need more information go here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... pport-help .

Microsoft also closed support for XP because too many people were still using it and refusing to buy their newer versions of Windows, I still miss XP in a funny way

I'm sure Windows Server 2003 (which is the server equivelent of XP) has support, but for regular XP, no.

Its true that Microsoft now wants people to migrate from XP but there are still some who think XP is the best, for they want to be at rest....

Our OS is Windows XP only. According to this thread, i came to know that it has no update or security support. In that case do i need to change my OS ? or do i face any problems because of windows xp not having any security support or update?

It depends on you. If you would like new feature's, eye candy and update's you can migrate to the newer versions. If you prefer speed you can stick to your OS. But the impact is minimal considering how hardware are improving, and DirectX 11 is quite important to me too!

My friend, I think that is better you use the Windows 7 or the Windows 8, because many programs, games and more things, it's necessary minimum the Windows 7.

I run Windows XP on a desktop that is close to 6 years old. And it is not slow. On occasion if to many browsers are open those crash but overall my PC actually works well for its age. I do take care of it though. Even when I know there is no virus I run a virus scan monthly and disc defrag monthly. I also do not download stupid things like "Toolbars" since they can really slow down your browser. On occasion I also do Disc cleanup. And every couple of months I delete anything no longer needed on the PC. I also hardly download anything to which could also be helping it stay okay for the time being.
