I have been using OpenOffice for years and find it very suitable.

My first frustration about it is the fact it loads slow. The moment I click it's icon it takes 7 minutes before it becomes usable. Also I can simply go to websites like grammarly and Word counter to check my grammar errors and word counts.
Everything I can do with it, I can do with my browser. If I needed to save files, I will just save it with notepad. Notepad can be used for printing documents too.
