The following singers ,models and influencers got their fame because of Myspace. Yup before Youtube stars there are Myspace stars. Colbie Callat, Tila Tequila,Jason Mraz,Hollywood Undead,Jefree Star (yes he started from Myspace before Youtube),Sherwood, Mickie Avalon and more. Myspace is the one that gave them all the opportunities for fame.

These singers on the other hand got discovered on Youtube, They all started as Youtube cover singers:

Meghan Trainor, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth, Greyson Chance,Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara,Tori Kelly,

Susan Boyle though not discovered on Youtube, her audition getting viral on Youtube made her a big star. There is also Rebecca Black who also owes her career on Youtube.

Some mainstream Hollywood actors are also discovered on Youtube but I will list them down later.

Some famous Youtubers started with Vine and the biggest example are the Paul brothers who I despise.

Cardy B who is now a famous popular singer, Started as an Instagram model and her instagram fans who got her album successful.


Facebook now monetizes pages and videos but for some unknown reason I do not know anyone who got their fame from Facebook.

It's really interesting see how be famous is different because of the internet. In the past only people that appeared on tv, magazines or were related to someone famous, were also famous.

Nowadays anyone with a talent, inteligence, work and a little bit of luck could be famous

I didn't know Tila Tequila became famous from MySpace. There was a TV show she was on and then after that I started hearing about her more. Maybe I was the only one who didn't know her before then. Lol. I wasn't on MySpace so I have an excuse.

I started to see Youtuber King Bach starring on lots of Hollywood movies. I think he already quit Youtube. Lilly Singh is now going to have her own mainstream talk show.

That is interesting considering that Facebook became more popular than all of the other platforms a lot faster. Facebook grew such a large base of users it can be considered its own country. Some have called it "Facebookistan". President Obama went to Facebook for help with his presidential campaign and expanding his reach to a wider audience of voters and that campaign strategy worked quite well. Even when celebrities threatened to delete their Facebook accounts after the Cambridge Analytica scandal, Facebook still maintained a loyal user base.

It's curious that you can't think of a celebrity that owes their fame and popularity to Facebook. I can't either. Maybe it's because as Zuckerberg said, Facebook was really intended to be a social platform to reconnect family and friends. Maybe celebrities didn't think to use it to connect with fans.

Anyway it doesn't matter so much since Facebook owns Instagram. Savvy business move, Mr. Z.

Yup instagram fits more with the fame hungry avocado toast eating Youth. Facebook is more about family members. Teens also use instagram to hide from their parents.

Most of them are Asian celebrities with names I cannot pronounced. Most of them are from Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia.
