Something I notice about videogames, Ugly playable male characters are highly accepted:









For sure we have lots of Good looking Male protagonists like Dante, Ryu,Terry Bogard etc.... Pretty Boy characters are very popular in videogames. Majority of male characters are indeed good looking but we have the Uglies to keep the balance.

When it comes to playable male characters we have varieties of looks and body types. I notice that all female playable characters are conventionally beautiful like Lara Croft, Chun-li , Jill Valentine, Tracer etc....

The only woman who makes it on the countdown of the Ugliest playable videogame characters of all time is Mileena from Mortal Kombat.



Mileena do have a sexy body though.

There is some diversity of body types when it comes to female characters.

We have the flat chested types:


We have the lean muscular types


and the busty voluptuous types:


but we never had fat women and old women, if we have old women, she is some immortal to who doesn't age.

Why do you think it is okay to have ugly playable male characters but all female characters have to be attractive? I know most gamers are men but on a recent study... 40% of gamers are now women and they do play games meant for men.

Why can we have a granny character on Street Fighter or Tekken? or a 50 year old Mom fighting zombies on a horror game?

I want to praise the creator of Overwatch for making Ana, An old lady sniper and she is playable.

I'm not gay, but not all male video game charachters are ugly. Google this frase "hot male game characters".

I know majority of male characters are pretty boys and Hollywood action hero proto types but ugly male characters are accepted. I just wonder why Ugly and old female characters are not.

Every body likes more see beautiful younger women, than older or ugly.

Why ugly male characters are well embraced? I mean many of them even became super Iconic.
