You know how Smile.Amazon.com works---basically, you buy something from Amazon and--if you order through a Smile.Amazon address--they donate a percentage of your order to the charity of your choice.

That sounds good. But can an Amazon associate advertise products from this site so that people can order?

It says "Amazon will donate 5% (ten times our usual donation rate) of the purchase price of eligible products through Nov 2." That will be over soon but at least the charity program will continue.

I'm not sure about that. I mean; you can 'be signed on as an affiliate' (or "an associate" ) and your 'Amazon Associates' Site-Stripe will pop up when you surf the smile.amazon site ... but the affiliate-link the site-stripe gives you might just lead to 'your affiliate link' (and won't help the chosen charity AT ALL)

Lemme see ... I'll open smile.amazon.com, make sure I'm signed-in with the site stripe, look at the "link" the site-stripe gives me (long-form) - https://www.amazon.com/ref=as_li_ss_tl? ... uage=en_US - and that address redirects to ... NOT the charity page

Yeah it redirects. To get it to go to the charity page, you can add your affiliate tag ID (or associate ID) to the specific Smile.Amazon URL.

smile.amazon.com /gp/product/ (product number) /?tag=XXX##-20

That will direct the customer to the Amazon charity page to buy products.

It's a manual process but since it's for charity ...

This is a great initiative .. The best thing is we can donate while we are buying stuffs.. And we don't have to pay extra for this donation.. This is superb But I think this only works for "Amazon.com" and not for "Amazon.in".. So I can't use this offer. But still I'm happy that they are trying to do something unique to help people financially.. I hope Amazon will promote this initiative well so that more people will be aware of this.

Maybe you can write an email to Amazon.in to get them to start an Amazon Smile (if they don't already have something like it)
