A Machine that turns air into clean drinking water

Postby Netherrealmer » 09 Nov 2018, 16:26

Sadly the water it makes is only enough to make water for a single small family of 4. Now if they can only invent a machine that can turn air to water for all the places with drought. I know many farmers are suffering with drought because their crops just die down.

This can solve the problems of people who lives in the desert or a place with drought like California. The machine invented is only small scale. I hope they can make a machine that can fill a dam.

This is very interesting, Fergus. :)

I see that scientists have created a LS (Large Scale) system now that is ready for sale commercially. The LS modules have been made so they can be stacked together to amplify the water production to a larger scale that is capable of harvesting (two units fitted into a 20' box) 12,000 L/24 hour period.

Although further reading makes me wonder if someone had some trouble with their math when the article I just finished was being written. Claims for one unit are in the area of 5,000 L/24 hours, so I'm curious why the scientists gave an estimate of 12,000 L/24 hours for two systems?

Here is a link for the second article I read. http://water-gen.com/products/water-fro ... generator/

If you have time, would you mind reading this article yourself and see if I am misunderstanding something here?

Thank you.

Edit to add: I do wish the scientists who came up with this technique for harvesting water hadn't said they were turning air into water, though. That is so misleading! The machines capture the moisture being carried along with the molecules of air, so the air itself isn't being changed. *shrug*

That is definitely not "Truth in Advertising"!

I hope that eventually we would have machines produced at mass scales and that could be used for many more people.

Well that is very interesting. And I would love to have a machine that could do that.
I bet in the future they will have machines that are even more powerful and can produce
even more clean water.

So who has Money for this device, he will have water. Others will stay without it.

Yes but our Science and Technology would have to make a quantum jump in doing so.

When this device condense water from air in one area, than in other area wind will blow dry air and there will not be rain.

It's amazing!
I hope it would cost a lot so many poor people can afford one.

This is interesting. I think it works at the same way as a dezumidificator. Isn't it?
In a dezumidificator we can get H2O (almost purely), I think... That's not the water that we drink normally because it has no minerals in it...

This is a cool idea. Unfortunately wont work everywere, because some places have no water and have no electricity (that is necessary to put the machine working)... :(

I wish they can make a large scale version of this, as in something that can fill a dam. There is now a similar invention that is good enough to provide water for a small village.

Actually, there was a device to convert sea water into Drinking water but the installation and a maintenance cost is high.

Drinking water is problem of whole world. Some peoples said that third world war may be for water. If cost of producing water is low than it is useful one.

At least daily need of drinking water can be met with a 16 liter water machine. The beginning has been done more will be available as technology progress.
