Something I notice about movies and shows from 90's to mid 2000's

Postby Netherrealmer » 28 Feb 2019, 08:25

If you watch them in a picture tube screen, they will look clear and high definition. On the otherhand if you watch in HD modern screens, They will look super old like they are from 1970s. Unless the video is digitally restored and remastered, they will look ancient in modern hd screens.

I remember one of the music videos I watch as a teen looks crystal clear when I watched it on a picture tube screen but now it looks dated in modern screens.

Yes I also remember the old TVs and screens. and movies. I do miss those days and movies.
Or maybe I just think I do because I was younger.

Reason is quality of videocamera. If movie is made in low resolution, HD tv can help it look better. It will show resolution in which is made. That is way old videos are often restored and remastered.
