Are people addicted to their phones?

Postby MysticMoons » 06 May 2019, 04:27

Do you think people are now addicted to their phones?
Do they always need to be on them? I see people always on them
And it is not good for people's eyes or health.
What is your view om the matter? I think people are addicted and it's really bad.

I believe many people are, in fact, addicted to their phones.
Nowadays we can dots of different things with our phones and, in most situations we really need them to do important things.
I don't feel that I'm addicted but I need my smartphone to different things like to control my home alarm.

Yes people even sync their secuirty or TV control to their phones.
I just use mine to stay in touch with people and make money mostly.
But I am trying to stay less time on it.

Maybe it has come down to addiction stage now. You hardly ever see anyone out and about who is not focused on their phones. Even people crossing the streets have their eyes pierced into their phones many times. Though we can use it to conduct business and address other important matters it can be a distraction too. Many traffic accidents are caused by focusing on the phone rather than safety first.

Oh yes, many people are addicted to their phones! I've seen some of my friends go into panic mode when they thought they'd lost their phones. I'm quite ok without my phone but must admit without it, I'm unable to reach people and vice versa and could lose good deals. But I'm not one of those people who'd sit there ignoring people because I'm glued to my phone... that's just PLAIN RUDE.

I won't be hanging around you if you are into the phone when I'm right there. You'll never know when I disappeared. What's the point? And speaking of panic mode, I've seen people getting violent because they misplaced their phone. How comes the phone has so much control? :?

Am really really not, in fact I had enough of all of that. The only thing I use it is for calls and Youtube music, other than that I see no reason to fuss.

And other things, but they are also a huge security risk.

I saw people getting on a bus with their faces into the phone screens, I am just waiting something horrid like somebody will break a neck.

Not really an addiction as a problem, but they keep a lot of things on their phones, and many of those things are private matters, personal contacts, photos and finances. It is a bad things when they lose all of it at once.

I saw that too, they get like that because they have too many things important for them on their phones. It is like having a heart inside of a tiny machine, if so I would suggest to have a paper heart instead, it is safer.

I must look at my phone at least 100 times a day. I do not use it for watching movies or for playing games. I use it to communicate with friends and family. I also use it for a clock because I don't wear a watch. :)

I read my messages or make my calls about three or four times a day, however I always pick up my calls. But it annoys me to see my kids hanging on to their phones all the time. I just gave my older one a talking to yesterday. My message was 'talk to the people who do everything for you, care about you and live in the same home as you before you chat with those guys you wont even recognize a few years down the line.' It kind of hit home I guess. :D
Yes, young people are totally addicted to their phones and now even older people are getting there.
