Amazon rolls out machines that pack orders

Postby kanchan18 » 14 May 2019, 06:22

Amazon.com is rolling out machines to automate a job held by thousands of its workers: boxing up customers orders.
the co. started adding technology to a handful of warehouses for now but will be extended to a large number in future which will result in job loss for about 2000 people.

For me I do not care since I would never work doing that. I am to smart and creative for that. But It sucks for the people who do work in that position. I also do not like the rise of the machines. they are evil.

i think the next revolution will be the AI revolution and it won't make lives worse, but better. The thing that makes people's lives worse is dead time, which is poison for the soul. I think even though we're approaching a more egalitarian society- where people will simpy be given 'salaries' and left to their own devices, without regiment people will end up becoming lazy and causing trouble.
