How long SMS will stay alive?

Postby mrki444 » 19 May 2019, 14:34

From all things which will gone I think First will be SMS. Most of people now use Viber, WhatsApp or other VoIP apps. Even paying parking place start use Viber apps. I don't think it will last much longer especially in Tier 1 countrys.

What do you think?

Internet and new technologies are always changing... evolving (we hope) ;)
I still remember buying music cd's, DVD, Blue ray and now all of that (still exist) but are slowly dying and only sometimes are used, nowadays.
Perhaps you are right about SMS... but I can say that I'm still sending SMS everyday ;)

As long as baby boomers, Gen exers and some millennials are alive, it will stay relevant but its already dead for the Gen Z aka people who just turned 18 this year.
