After watching the show CatFish it makes me wonder if people really get catfished?
The best way to prevent it, is by telling the person to video chat.
if they never can they are probably a cat fish. A phone call is not good because they
can change their voice or even have someone else on the line to talk for them.
But yes I find it interesting people are even able to get catfished these days.

I will never get catfished because I refuse to online date women who don't use facetime or webcams. Catfishes dont want cameras on their face because they are overweight middle aged dudes scamming people for their money.

I've not been catfished myself. I'm old school as heck; I was in VampireFreaks' "cult" Fake Busters. Definitely gave me the knowledge from there on out what to expect from catfishers. Lol.

I have dated online though, so I'm surprised I hadn't run into one.

Yes that or fat ugly girls. A friend of mine got cat fished it was a girl But she was using a hot girls pics. Well one nihgt she was drunk and video called him. When he picked up yelled a curse word and got off quick since she knew she was caught! lol that is probably the most funny story about a cat fish getting caught lol.
I agree make them facetime or they are a catfish or fat and ugly lol

It's always the 'sad' people who catfish others. Such a cruel thing to do. I've watched quite a few documentaries around catfishing and it never ends well, almost always tragically. I've never been catfished and to be honest, I doubt I'd fall for that stuff. I'm cynical as it is and always question everything!
