For a while, America has been trying to "go green" and have more environmentally-friendly options for quite literally everything. Thankfully, the FERC stated that renewable energy has surpassed that of coal. The need/use for coal has dropped 39% since 2008.
How do you feel about solar powered technology? Do you like the idea of windmills?
I know in my county, there is an on-going debate as to whether we should bring in more windmills or not. There are already several in the country fields. The community is complaining about how loud they are as well as how much space they take up. There were several tornados last year and the county refuses to pick up the damage done to the windmills, so there's several broken down in the area. I'm not sure when or if the debate would ever be settled. However, if Texas (also known as one of the oil capitals) can switch to Windmills, I think we all should at least take it into consideration.
Personally, I have been wanting to use solar panels on the roof in order to do my own share in renewable energy. Would it be something you'd consider in order to save our planet, if you could afford it?
