Audi has recently issued a voluntary recall on its fully electric SUV, the E-Tron. The announcement came following a discovery that moisture could seep into the battery compartment and potentially start a fire. Though there have been no reported fires or injuries, the company stated that in five instances (globally) a battery fault light indicated that there were moisture issues.

Of the 1,644 E-Trons shipped to the United States, 540 have already made it into the hands of customers. Audi is in the process of contacting E-Tron owners and expect to have a fix by August, 2019.

Wow. This car is really beautiful. I wouldn't pick this color, but white or grey instead :)
Fortunately electric cars are evolving and, nowadays, they have everything we need in an everyday car. Hope some day we are no longer oil dependents...

Tesla is still the boss when it comes to electric cars. Jaguar I-PACE electric was another recent recall (over a delay in the braking system). Both Audi and Jaguar are considered to be Tesla's competitors in this regard.

Still admiring it over here :) so beautiful! For me it would be black or red. Grey would work too but this blue is definitely out for sure. Yes, it seems we are getting closer to no longer being completely dependent on oil.

Yeah, and lately there have been more reports of battery-caused fires (apparently from short circuit in the battery pack).
