If you have Snapchat, you probably already know of the filter that I'm talking about. But if you don't have a Snapchat or are unsure, it is a filter that turns you into the opposite gender - it's pretty convincing. You can take photos and videos with it. Here's a few photo examples:





Anyways, a male student used this filter to try and lure older men to an "underage female". In his venture, he discovered a police officer trying to meet with a child. The student stated that "he" was 16 years old. The cop replied that it "could be an issue", however, continued talking to the "girl".

The student stated he wasn't specifically going after a police officer - that's just what it happened to be.

I'm not sure what made Snapchat come out with this filter, but in terms of catching pedophiles, it seems like it could be put to good use.

It did catch that police officer so that played out well. Whether it's Snapchat or some other app, I would be wary of communications with random people. In one way or another it's so easy to deceive the other party. It was probably created with the intention for people to joke around just like how you can make yourself have rabbit ears or look like a deer. It can serve other purposes as we've seen.

People use snapchat filters to Instagram. So a lot of hot chicks in instagram is either a Grandma or a dude.

Ok. That is very scary. Could help but still scary. A lot of people could use the filter to scam inoccent people.
