The app will then play a video which will put your cat in a playful mood, taking shots of the action. These images will be sent to you directly by text message.

The closest to that I saw was the Camio app (Android and iOS). This one though doesn't offer any option for taking selfies. It's more of a home monitoring camera but you can connect with your dog by two-way talk though. If he is misbehaving you can command him to stop. The app lets you search and zoom in on special moments which can be shared with friends.There is also the option to add guests so they too can view the action in real time.

You'll have to use two devices, one to leave with the kitty and the other to go along with you. Mostly people are leaving their iPads at home and keeping their phones on hand.

That too but many people already have more than one, a smartphone and a tablet maybe.

But what when cat scrape screen and touch become uselles? Will device seller take it under waranty from damage?

Cats claws are razor sharp so they would damage any type of screen easy. Also, in my experience cat's don't really pay attention to digital screens much. I'm not entirely convinced they can even see them like we can.

Long time ago I heard that pets weren't able to see them the way we do. So that was interesting as well. I don't know what they are seeing but they are reacting to something from those videos we saw. In turn they were able to snap some shots. Yes, there's no doubt about what those claws can do.

Usually they cover if it's a manufacturing defect. Cat scratching and damages caused by it quite likely is not included.

Yes, if you can afford to and we're still not sure the device will be unusable. The cats are still taking selfies with them as far as we can see now.
