Google has recently released a program for children to aid them in discovering "fake news" and disinformation. It will teach kids how to avoid phishing, being scammed, recognize false content, and how to make sure content is credible.

If you have children, would you let them use this program?

I think it could be extremely beneficial for them to learn young to avoid having issues in the future. Children can be extremely vulnerable on the internet, especially if not used right. Of course they should be supervised, but I think them knowing what to look for as well might be helpful for them to navigate properly.

The problem is the consumers of fake news don't have news sites as their source. They use facebook as their source because they want to save mobile data.

Google and facebook will say the news that lies and fits their goals and agenda is the real news. But of course anything oppossing their views. Will be called fakes news even if it is the truth.
