I think this new doorbells are super practical and useful... imagine talk with the person that are at your door even when you are not at home?
And this one have Full HD video. Really awesome :)

How they will stop gluing chewing gumb on camera? Many thiefs and stupid kids does that.

I think they will see them when they are doing it though. So they probably wouldn't get very far. The motion detector will tell when someone is out there so they'll see who it is and probably scare them away when they start talking (or barking :))

Someone standing at the door is not always a 'friend' of the people who live there. So no, not right, you can't always call him because you don't have his number. But you can talk to the person without the use of phone. All kinds of people go to people's door. Even you mentioned earlier that thieves and 'stupid kids' could also be at the door.
