Baidu's CEO Splashed with Water at AI Conference

Postby Lushh » 04 Jul 2019, 23:53

At a recent conference on Artificial Intelligence, things got off to a wet start for Robin Li, CEO of China's dominant search engine Baidu. The CEO was giving a speech on the company's autonomous car development when a man reportedly stormed on to the stage, emptied a bottle of water on his head and calmly walked off.

At the time of the drenching it was unclear who exactly the attacker was or what his purpose was. In the video below you can hear the CEO asking the attacker, "What's your problem" while brushing water from his face.

The only reason I agree with you is because he stood there and did nothing. Seriously, at first when I saw the video I was thinking he set that man up to come and pour water over him. He seemed like such a willing participant, not even trying to dodge the water, lol. Maybe it was a part of the 'act' because only a few seconds later he casually continued to make the point that he firmly believes AI will change everyone's life.
